White Sucker
Catostomus commersonii
White Suckers are bottom feeders that use thier big protruding lips to scoop up algae, plants and a wide variety of invertebrates.
Young suckers can be used as bait for larger fish. When suckers are caught, thier meat is sold under the name
"mullet" or "freshwater mullet".
