Five-Lined Skink Eumeces fasciatus
Five
–lined Skinks are found near Lake George and in the
Hudson Valley (mostly west of the river). Young and female skinks have blue
tails, while males fade to brown. Five-lined skinks feed mostly on insects and
other invertebrates, although larger individuals may be able to take small
mammals.
