Black and Yellow Garden Spider
Argiope aurantia
A garden and fields spider,
the Black and Yellow Argiope (aka Black and Yellow Garden Spider) builds a web with a characteristic zig-zag pattern down
the middle. They feed on insects, and as is the case with almost any NY spider, they are not dangerous to humans.
